Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. is the parent company of an international Engineering & Main Contracting Group which provides a comprehensive, integrated system of services and installations in its sectors: Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Power, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure. The Group also has  key competences in licensing and IP,  and specific focus in renewable energy.
The Group has established itself thanks to advanced skills in Project Management and Main Contracting, by implementing complex turnkey projects all over the world, combining high quality and planning standards with a focus on multicultural and environmental issues.
The Group, with a presence in 30 countries and 4 continents, currently owns 40 trading companies and can rely on a workforce of about 4,500 employees, more than half of whom are outside Italy.

On 30 September 2009 the Group posted revenues for about €1,673 million, Ebitda for about €93 million, Ebit for about € 81 million, Net Profit for about €50 million.

The Group has currently:  

  • More than 120 polypropylene and polyethylene plants delivered worldwide, making Tecnimont the market leader with a share of approximately 30% of global polyolefin capacity installed in the last six years, including a 40% share in LDPE
  • Over 80 projects related to LNG terminals and storage tanks delivered worldwide
  • More than 230  power plant projects executed in Italy and abroad with an installed capacity exceeding 20,000 MW
  • Designed approximately 40% of the Italian high-speed railways lines now under construction
